Peoples Voice

Growing the ‘People’s Voice’ is at the heart of this work. It will have members who are patients, carers and members of the public. It is there to support these people to get involved in making changes to health and care services to make these services better.

We really want to work with people who are interested in our work. This includes the people above and also:

  • Charities
  • Patient groups
  • Voluntary and community organisations

People who sign up with us will get information about the SCN’s work. They will also have the chance to get involved in different ways.

The network is for these areas to start with:

  • Cancer
  • Cardiovascular disease: Heart / Kidney / Stroke / Diabetes
  • Maternity, Children and Young People
  • Mental Health/Dementia/Neurological Conditions
  • Palliative and End of Life Care

It is a chance for you to use your voice to help us understand what we could do better. Your experiences are really important to us. We want to use them in a helpful way to make health and care services better.

If you decide to join us we will keep your details on our computer in a safe place. It will not be possible for anyone to see your details unless you say that it is OK for this to happen.

We want the ‘People’s Voice’ to have as many different kinds of people in it as possible. We want people of all ages, from different cultures and communities.
